Magi

The babe in the manger awoke
As the Magi made their entrance
Minding their silk shoes on the stable floor

Miraculously, the babe arose
Swaddled in pink terry toweling
She spake
"I am the Messiah", she said
"Oh sorry, wrong stable," muttered the Magi
Sheepishly making their way out
through the press of kneeling animals
"Excuse me, beg pardon, Dobbin."

"Oh myrrh", said the babe in irritation
Hearing the farts of the departing camels
Until she remembered her elevated position.

Great gift!
