I want you to miss me
There could be fog Or maybe just a mist And inexplicably I'll fade to white Vanish, and be gone
Or it could be night
Then you will discover
A space so hollow
A quality of missing
Each hour more bottomless than the last
But it will be nothing
The howl must strike the right resonant frequency
Then, only then
Perhaps glimpse a puff of breath
You must utter
Jerks you from your sleep
And you will know how
And know what missing is
